Job description
SUMMARY: The Sales Analyst will perform accounting functions to ensure proper, accurate and timely sales accounting for the poultry and prepared operations. This position is responsible for account reconciliations, management reporting and sales accrual management.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Responsible for ensuring timely and accurate monthly closing.
- Prepare month-end journal entries.
- Prepare month-end account reconciliations.
- Participate in data maintenance as it relates to sales reporting.
- Prepare, maintain, track and report on sales accruals.
- Participate in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
- Prepare ongoing monthly and year-to-date budget analysis for budget review, analysis and decision making.
- Prepare a variety of routine and specialized reports for management for use in analyzing profitability.
- Work with sales team members to ensure timely and accurate recording of sales data.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position will not have supervisory responsibility.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Required
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
- 3 years of accounting experience
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred- Poultry or manufacturing experience
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel
