Sales Director - Kroger

Responsible for the strategic leadership of the overall Land O’Lakes business with one of our largest and most important retailer partners, the Sales Director - Kroger Team will build and maintain a diverse, motivated, high-performing team charged with delivering aggressive volume, share, and profit targets. The Sales Director will achieve this by drawing upon a deep understanding of Kroger and Land O’Lakes priorities and capabilities, and leveraging both for mutual growth by relentlessly seeking to elevate Land O’Lakes as a leader in our categories, how we go-to-market, and in topics including Sustainability, Ag Policy, DE&I, etc. The Director will also utilize their outstanding analytical abilities to fully leverage both Land O’Lakes and Kroger resources for mutual benefit, and to enhance robust talent development of the Kroger team.

Education and Experience:

  • Must reside in the local Cincinnati area - required
  • Ability to be in the office 3 days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday) - required
  • 4-year college degree (Bachelors), or equivalent education or equivalent work experience - required
  • 6 or more years of consumer package goods sales experience, with strong knowledge of large retailers - required
  • 4 or more years of experience working with/for Kroger or one of their divisions - required
  • 3 years of leading cross-functional team members - required
  • 2 or more years of people management - preferred
  • Intellectual curiosity and exceptional analytical skills with the ability to process large amounts of data and develop recommendations and action plans accordingly - required
  • Strong financial (trade management) acumen - required
  • Ability to perform effectively in a team and matrixed environment - required
  • Ownership mindset with an action bias and an ability to manage shifting and multiple priorities - required
  • Proficiency with 84.51 systems (Market 6 & Stratum) as well as IRI and/or Nielsen platforms - required
