Major Responsibilities:
- Implements technical manufacturing expertise and commercial sense in order to competitively quote contract machining while achieving margin targets.
- Utilizes application understanding to effectively translate customer specifications into manufacturing and quality requirements.
- Interacts with manufacturing and quality teams to determine feasibility for complex parts and assemblies.
- Interacts with outside suppliers to receive costs for materials and subcontract operations
- Supports complex applications quotes and technical inquiries.
- Maintains a queue of requests for quote and regularly refreshes status, due dates, and completion dates.
- Keep supervisor informed on key activities and actions in the marketplace that may impact the business.
- Follow Regal Rexnord’s Ethics and Safety Programs.
- Follow State and Federal Environmental Compliance Programs.
- Adhere to all Export, Import and Supply Chain Security Policy requirements relevant to the position.
Required Education / Experience / Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar technical field preferred or combination of education and experience.
- 7+ years’ experience.
- Must have mechanical aptitude, preferably from experience with manufacturing.
Capabilities and Success Factors:
- Experience with an ERP system such as SAP or Oracle.
- Experience in manufacturing as a machine operator or manufacturing engineer.
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Must be able to prioritize and multi-task, as well as adapt well to change.
- Desire to learn and grow within a team environment at a fast-paced, quality-focused manufacturing company.
