As Sales Associate, you will be primarily responsible for ensuring that revenue goals are achieved or exceeded by soliciting, developing and closing multiple segments of attractions business.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Proactively prospect, qualify, and close new and repeat business opportunities within assigned market(s) through various efforts including outside sales calls, site visits, tele-prospecting, effective use of email, social media, referrals, networking, attending industry events, and use of brand and company resources to maximize attraction ticket sales, event space and catering revenues.
- Build, maintain, and grow strong client relationships
- Conduct site visits and quickly responds to sales inquiries, leads, and walk in prospects for venue.
- Negotiate attraction ticket price, food and beverage, function space, dates, overall revenues, and special considerations with the goal of meeting both the client’s needs and financial goals of Dezerland Orlando.
- Provides timely follow up to all sales inquiries and customers
- Understands basic revenue management strategies and principles
- Create detailed BEO’s, group resumes and diagrams that provide clear communication, direction, timeline, and pricing to both the client and operations teams.
- Responsible for preparing contracts, confirming signature, and ensuring all payments for attraction tickets, group, and catering events are processed accordingly using multiple sales channels.
- Ensure groups meet performance expectations for attraction ticket sales and catering revenues
- Utilize Tripleseat effectively. Update bookings, accounts, and sales activities per company standard to ensure accurate records and timely follow up.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor and/or management team.
OTHER:
Due to the cyclical nature of the amusement/hospitality industry, team members may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of our venue.
Participates in the Manager on Duty rotation or Saturday coverage as necessary.
Upon employment, all team members are required to fully comply with Dezerland Orlando rules and regulations for the safe and efficient operation of hotel facilities. Team members who violate rules and regulations will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.

Job Skills:
- Displays demonstrable sales skills; Prospecting Presenting, Negotiating, Overcoming Objections, and Closing Techniques.
- Ability to access and accurately input information using a moderately complex computer system.
- Knowledge/experience in Word, Excel and PowerPoint preferred.
Ability to multi-task, prioritize, have strong attention to detail, possess good time management and organization skills
- Ability to effectively deal with team member and client concerns in a friendly and positive manner. This involves listening to the nature of the concern, demonstrating empathy with the external and internal customer, and providing positive and proactive solutions.
- Ability to grasp, lift and/or carry a maximum of 50 lbs.
- Ability to lift, bend, stoop, walk, push/pull to retrieve and re-file various binders, files at levels up to 6 feet high and stand/sit for extended periods.
- Ability to accurately and efficiently work within Microsoft business applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Must have excellent telephone etiquette skills.
- Knowledge ofTripleseat is a plus
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a Plus

Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
