Sales & Service Representative

Sky Bird Travel & Tours, Inc. is an award-winning agency with offices across the country. We are seeking a detail-oriented, diligent and experienced Sales & Service Representative to join our team in Southfield, Michigan.

Primary Responsibilities:

Managing and executing projects as assigned by the Business Development Director, including-

• Manage customer service email accounts and disseminate internal information to frontline staff
• Generate and close sales from inquiries arriving via email or phone calls
• Assist with onboarding professional travel agent customers
• Maintain proficiency of our core Booking Engine and assist staff or customers with questions
• Assist with ongoing Booking Engine webinars
• Processing client registration by following the proper protocol for the approval process
• Responsible for providing information, promptly responding to customer questions/concerns and routing customers to direct departments
• Maintain registrant excel spreadsheet daily to ensure accuracy of customer database
• Responsible for ensuring customer service satisfaction is met
• Assist Business Development Director with internal and external issues as directed

Core Competencies:

• Must have 1+ years of experience in travel sales or graduate from travel school
• Must have 1+ years of customer service experience with the travel industry
• Preferred Multi-lingual but not required
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and PPT
• Effective oral and written communication
• Excellent problem-solving skills

Work Environment:

Ability to work full-time in the office (no remote working opportunity)

Physical Demand:

Standing, sitting, walking, reaching, manual dexterity, lifting/carrying up to 25 lbs
