Responsibilities

This position has the ability to be based in one of the following states: Washington, Alaska, Montana, Texas, Georgia, and Florida.

The Cystic Fibrosis Therapeutics Development Network (TDN) Coordinating Center at Seattle Children's Research Institute is seeking a Scientific Writer/Editor to join a devoted team of investigators to advance therapies and find a cure for children and adults living with cystic fibrosis. The Scientific Writer/Editor will provide manuscript, grant writing, and presentation support for faculty. Much of this work will be under the context for which a structure for defining the scientific concepts have already been developed.

Requirements

Required Education/Experience: - Bachelor's degree in a related field. - Minimum three years of scientific writing experience in a healthcare, research, or academic environment OR PhD and one year of scientific writing experience in a healthcare, research, or academic environment.- Excellent grammar and writing mechanics skills with experience in editing and/or copy-writing. Preferred: - Experience writing or editing NIH/medical grant applications. - Project management experience. - Proficiency with Adobe InDesign, Graphpad, or other graphical software. - Master's degree or PhD in a biomedical-related field.
