Linde Gas & Equipment Inc. is seeking a Scientist to join our team located in New Providence, NJ.


Scientist

  • Operate mass spectrometer to provide quality control information related to gas separation lab equipment.
  • Manage and provide support to staff who operates gas chromatography equipment.
  • Assist with analysis and interpretation of liquid scintillation data and other low activity radiation analysis systems.
  • Work with engineering staff to design and develop new types of gas separation systems for in-house laboratory use.
  • Work individually or with team members in continuous improvement efforts
  • Comply with Linde safety policies and other regulatory requirements
  • Maintain required parameters in laboratory database
  • Perform data analysis to aid in process improvements
  • Generate standard database queries and requested queries
  • Maintain integrity of data in the lab database
  • Coordinate report generation and data transmission

  • Bachelor’s/master’s degree in chemistry, applied chemistry, analytical chemistry, or other science related degree with a minimum of 10 year’s relevant experience.
  • Knowledgeable in mass spectrometry operation.
  • Familiar with gas chromatography, residual gas analyzers, and other gas separation technologies.
  • Experience with a programming language to automate laboratory tasks and /or analyze data.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain D0D secret level security clearance (This requires US citizenship)
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data to produce scientific reports
  • Understanding of lab data bases and logistics as pertaining to an analytical laboratory
  • Must have strong written and oral communications skills, and ability to interface effectively with technical personnel both internal and external as well as government agencies.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency. Word, Excel, Access, Power Point.
  • Knowledge of quality assurance principles
