Pay Range
$34.63 - $43.70 Hourly for the 405.4 level
Please note that the pay range information is a general guideline only. Many factors are taken into consideration when setting starting pay including education, experience, the external labor market, and internal equity.
Job Description
We have an opening for a Screening and Surveillance Coordinator in the Environment Safety and Health (ES&H) Directorate, supporting the Health Services Department (HSD). This role will coordinate core occupational health screening and medical surveillance programs. This individual would also interact with patients and multidisciplinary health and safety professionals.
In this role you will
- Provide exceptional customer service by effectively communicating with patients, their management, training and human resources, and health care teams.
- Responsible for clerical and administrative tasks in both the front office and clinical area associated with patient care and proper record keeping. Ensure accuracy in documentation.
- Maintain databases, rosters and tracking mechanisms in the Electronic Health Record and other electronic systems for occupational health screening and surveillance programs.
- Enter data into the Electronic Health record and other data systems and prepare reports.
- Coordinate and schedule patient appointments for testing and health care provider visits.
- Ensure new hires complete initial screening and surveillance and existing staff members complete follow-up, periodic, and annual medical requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. DOE L-level security clearance which requires U.S. Citizenship.
- Experience interacting effectively with patients and multidisciplinary health professions in cross-functional teams.
- Ability to apply HIPAA training in all work interactions (verbal and written). Advanced communication and interpersonal skills necessary to interact effectively with a diverse workforce and all levels of management.
- Experience with medical surveillance programs such as tuberculosis and asbestos screening, hearing conservation.
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Record systems and Microsoft Office suite to include Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment, exercising discretion and sound judgment.
- Willingness and ability to learn new responsibilities.
Qualifications We Desire
- Experience in the COVID-19 response or public health assessments as well as projects of moderate size and complexity, with demonstrated individual work.

Site 300
Site 300 is an experimental test site operated by LLNL. Situated on 7,000 acres in rural foothills approximately six miles southwest of downtown Tracy and 15 miles southeast of Livermore, Site 300 hosts approximately 200 employees with expertise in such fields as engineering, chemistry, biology, and environmental restoration. Employees assigned to work at Site 300 may be exposed to the organism that causes San Joaquin Valley Fever (coccidioidomycosis).
Security Clearance
This position requires a Department of Energy (DOE) L-level clearance. If you are selected, we will initiate a Federal background investigation to determine if you meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information or matter. Also, all L or Q cleared employees are subject to random drug testing. L-level clearance requires U.S. citizenship.
