PNB has a Seasonal Sanitation Technician and Production Support position available within the Mt. Angel plant. This position is responsible for various tasks associated with cleaning production equipment and general work area. Responsibilities will involve internal and external sanitation duties to include cleaning, maintaining blending, filling equipment to ensure product quality and equipment reliability, sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and utilizing cleaning devices and agents to sanitize the general work environment. This position will also provide support to our production team, fulfilling duties as an operator to include operating manufacturing equipment that supplies raw materials to the production line, and/or fills, caps, seals, labels, and packaging material. Removes damaged product or supplies, as needed. Maintains required product inspection process. Performs basic troubleshooting and minor repairs to ensure production equipment runs efficiently. Duties may also include, but are not limited to, general landscaping company grounds, painting, mowing, raking, pressure washing, ETC. Applicant must be available for all shifts.
Overtime will be required.

Primary Job Accountabilities:

• Perform various cleaning and organizing duties as assigned
• Use of cleaning devices and/ or chemical agents to sanitize production equipment or environment; clean equipment and area during and after shift and maintains clean work area through good housekeeping practices
• May operate vehicles such as floor scrubber or forklift in execution of duties
• Ensures efficient line function and food-safe line equipment conditions through good sanitation techniques.
• Demonstrate safe use of all chemicals from receipt, storage, transfer, use
• Solid understanding of CIP procedures and system troubleshooting
• Operate and monitor line, removing or shifting materials and/or finished product as necessary to facilitate proper flow and machine operation
• Ensure package and product quality
• Operate all manufacturing equipment efficiently and safely while maintaining all safety standards
• Expedite repairs to line; working with maintenance as necessary
• Keep daily records of down time and machine operations

Job Eligibility Criteria:

• High School diploma or GED
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must be able to work in a high-speed manufacturing environment team-oriented, deadline driven, high performance demands, and fast paced.
• Must follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) including, wearing proper protective equipment, practicing personal hygiene, or obeying safety practices.
• Experience working with industrial cleaning equipment and supplies including chemicals such as acids, caustics, degreasers, using equipment such as foamers, scrubbers, pressure washers, steam machines, or cleaning stainless, conveyors, etc.
• Must be able to read and use standards of operations, understand and use process, procedures, or workflow documentation.
• Must be able to prepare documentation detailing work, building process flows, etc.

• Must work with industrial chemicals, using chemicals in a safe way, ensuring everything is properly labeled following MSDS, reading and interpreting labels or selection and mixing correct chemicals.
• Must be able to lift/carry 5-60 lbs. frequently for 8-12 hours a day
• Must be able to stand constantly for 8-12 working hours
• Must be able to perform frequent bending, twisting, kneeling, and squatting
• Must be able to perform occasional reaching over the shoulder, waist level, and from the floor
• Must be able to perform frequent grasping
• Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug test
