We provide on-the-job training to obtain the necessary licenses required to provide direction, service and support for registered representative and members of MWA Financial Services, Inc. (MWAFS) by determining the suitability of transactions as required by the SEC, FINRA and other regulatory bodies providing final sign-off as Principal for MWAFS.

What will you be doing?

  • Provide support for representatives and members including taking calls, mailing/faxing forms, researching questions/concerns, drafting letters to members and training representatives on product related questions.
  • Review applications for best interest and suitability daily and follow up on all pending applications which require further paperwork and or documentation, updating computer systems and records as required.
  • Open, approve and maintain accounts based on transaction requests and suitability guidelines for trades, check requests account updates, fully servicing House Accounts.
  • Develop, prepare and review a variety of periodic reports. Make recommendations for changes and improvements.
  • Assist Registered Representatives, members and clients with questions concerning suitability, regulatory processes and procedures.
  • Monitor trades and transactions initiated by Registered Representatives and notify Supervisor of areas of concern.
  • Assist in developing, maintaining and updating MWAFS Operations Section Procedures.

What do we expect from you?

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Ability to pass FINRA Series SIE, 7, 24 and 51 exams within 12 months of hire. We provide time to study during work hours to help you achieve this goal.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple tasks.
  • Demonstrate problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work well with the pressure of deadlines and be a productive member of the team.
  • Continue to expand industry knowledge.

Additional information about this opportunity:

  • This is an hourly position starting at $24.45 per hour ($47,685 annually). The specific rate will depend on the successful candidate’s qualifications and prior experience.
  • This is a hybrid position (3 days in office/2 days work from home (WFH) per week), located at Modern Woodmen’s home office in Rock Island, IL. Must be able to work in the office 5 days per week for initial job training. Some WFH days during training would be allowed on a case-by-case basis.
  • This is a full-time position: 37.5 hours per week (7.5 hours per day), Monday- Friday, with flexible start time between 7:00AM-9:00AM.
  • Currently, we're not considering candidates that need any type of immigration sponsorship (additional work authorization or permanent work authorization) now or in the future to work in the United States.
