The Security Guard provides safety and security services to protect Mennonite Home Communities residents, visitors, and staff on property. This position is performed in accordance with Mennonite Home Communities Core Values, Mission Statement, and regulations.:

QUALIFICATIONS:

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid PA Driver’s License a minimum of 2 years driving experience required.
• Previous experience in security preferred.:

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Is the first contact for visitors, vendors, volunteers, and contractors etc. when they enter Mennonite Home Communities. Ensures completion of the sign-in process for those entering the building. Provides visitors with directions.
• Reports concerns and emergencies to proper personnel. Reports any irregularities, security concerns, maintenance concerns/repairs to the Security Department Supervisor and/or or as directed in the MHC assigned procedures. Identifies, reports, and responds to concerns or issues with breaches in security, fire safety, resident wellbeing etc.
• Completes assigned tasks including setting up/taking down event signs, checking on resident homes, and testing alarm systems and equipment.
• Completes motorized and/or walking patrols regularly throughout the assigned shift. Monitors and ensures the safety and security of residents, staff, and property.
• Interacts, builds, and maintains professional relationships with residents, fellow staff, visitors, and outside contractors.::
