JOB DESCRIPTION

This position is part-time and on-call. The number of hours you get depends on your availability. Office staff sends out a schedule of shifts for the week via a mobile app, and agents can see the shifts they are working and pick up open shifts.

An agent’s post and duties will be different throughout the week. VCPG works with multiple private venues, and this position requires agents to travel to different locations, all within the Bay Area. Types of shifts can include morning, day, night, evening, and swing. For example, you may work a swing shift at one venue and then the next day work at a different venue on a morning shift. Types of shifts change from week to week, and office staff does their best to meet the availability of the agents.

Agents usually work in teams of two or more, so camaraderie is a must. Agents must not only have a positive attitude towards the clients, but also with their coworkers.

Although we do not require our agents to write daily activity reports, at times, agents may be asked to write incident reports.

WHAT IS REQUIRED

• High school diploma or GED
• Legal right to work in the United States
• Speak, read, and write English
• Current and valid California Guard Card
• Ability to understand both written and verbal instructions
• Not afraid to ask questions
• Able to maintain a high degree of confidentiality
• Be able to sit or stand for long periods (5-10 hours)
• Professional, friendly, and positive
• Possess a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• At least 2 years of experience providing physical security, surveillance, emergency response, access control, and/or incident management.

WHAT IS DESIRED

• 2-5 years’ experience providing event or corporate security.
• CPR and First Aid certification
