JOB DESCRIPTION:

Perform frequent and unpredictable patrols throughout the client location and property. Provide electronic documentation of all activities and or incidents via our guard force management application. Ensure areas are clear of trespassers, transient, or unauthorized persons. Prevent, report, and identify any damage, vandalism, graffiti, or unauthorized vehicles. Identify any suspicious activity, record activity in daily and incident reports. Provide security functions to include, but not limited to: observe, report, and notify local law enforcement authorities as needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conduct a minimun of 8 patrols per shift
• Log patrols on our guard tracking software
• monitor surveillance cameras
• Respond to Alarms, Bomb Threats, other emergencies, etc. Assist in crowd and traffic control during emergencies.
• Perform package inspection when required.
• Turn off unnecessary lights, check safes, lock-type repositories,and cabinets, open and secure doors and gates, etc.
• Notify Law Enforcement of any unlawful activity.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must meet any required State of Alaska Security Guard/Officer certifications.
• Must have minimum two (2) year’s experience.
• Ability to use word processor or computer.
• Must pass drug screening prior to hire
• Must have excellent report writing skills
• Must maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed professional appearance while on duty in accordance with company and client standards
• Capable of detaining person(s) while police are notified.
