Run the Bank
- Draft and review ISDA confirmations covering plain vanilla and structured OTC derivative transactions and directly negotiate terms with counterparties.
- Negotiate ad hoc requests from the business as well as functional partners – e.g., bespoke confirmation templates, metrics, analytics, etc.
- Protect the Bank’s integrity and reduce risk of loss by ensuring that all Derivative transactions completed are valid deals and correct with respect to financial details and all other relevant binding details; promptly notifying traders and management of missing or erroneous trades.
- Review systems, controls, and processes for effectiveness and relevance to current business and procedures are documented in a timely manner.
- Research, recommend, and actively drive implementation of systems controls, processes, and framework to improve productivity and reach target operating model by creating clearly defined, robust, and scalable solutions (STP).
- In partnership with the relevant Regional or Asset Class Head, oversee and guide projects, providing subject matter expertise to enable successful execution of cross-asset projects. Review all changes and test material prior to implementation for accuracy and integrity. Upon testing and implementation, conduct PIV and help manage workflow for optimal productivity and effectiveness during testing and transition phases. Work closely with various cross functional groups to coordinate efforts for complete and effective control, identifying accountabilities and process ownership within and outside the Business and Client Services (Operations) team.
- Knowledge share with staff and intra- and inter-asset classes to assist Regional and Asset Class Heads’ ongoing efforts to develop leadership talent
- Cross-train on roles and functions within different asset classes to provide and ensure backup capability.
- Good knowledge of ISDA documentation definitions
- Good understanding of the complexity of Derivatives transactions
- Good knowledge of Derivatives Products in general, standard market practices and trading terminology
- Good familiarity with the various processes involves in confirmation as well as support systems
- Ability to effectively balance customer experience while managing operational and reputational risk
- Ability to perform under pressure and deliver exceptional results
- Strong change mindset with ability to influence and gain commitment from colleagues
- Experience interacting with senior management, and external counterparties
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Job Summary
- This role is part of the global Market & Business Services Derivatives Confirmation Group that covers asset classes including Credit, Commodities, Equities, FX, Loans, Rates, and any hybrids thereof. As such, this mandate may be subject to change in accordance with evolving business needs.
- This role mitigates Legal, Operational and Economic risk associated with derivatives transactions.
- Ensures that quality service is provided and that the Bank is represented in a professional manner at all times.
