Senior Brand Designer
DIVISION: CREATIVE SERVICES & MARKETING - Multimedia
POSITION SUMMARY: Under supervision of the Director of Marketing and Communications, is responsible for the creation of visual concepts, either by hand or through the use of computer software, to communicate ideas that inspire, inform and captivate viewers and express ideas through images, printed pages, video, animation and digital communications. Develops, implements, and manages the overall brand identity of the TulsaHealth Department, as well as the brand identities within THD’s brand portfolio. Supervises the PrintProduction Specialist to ensure the creative services and printed needs of the Department are completed through high-quality, compelling content, design systems and brand standards.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The following functions represent the majority of the duties performed by the position but is not meant to be all-inclusive or prevent other duties from being assigned when necessary.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: (100% of Time)
1. Effectively uses design elements that visually communicate the desired message and develop new branding as needed to support the agency and individual programs.
2. Works with internal clients, briefing and advising them with regard to design style, strategy and timescales. Maintains positive relationships with clients and stakeholders, and collaboratively articulates creative rationale and design concepts. Provides creative partnership to cross-functional partners and translated their program goals into effective design work.
3. Coordinates the creative services and visual communication efforts of the Department, including but not limited to the production of high-quality digital design, experiential design, environmental design, brochures, posters, business cards, logos, signage, billboards, print advertisements, social media and website content.
4. Supervises the Print Production Specialist to ensure the creative services and printed needs of the Department are completed through high-quality, compelling content, design systems and brand standards.
5. Manages the production of design systems and assets for the Department. Initiates foundation-level design projects and systems to improve efficiency in how the design team completes work. Ensures continuity in look-and-feel of branded communication elements.
6. Creates and designs animated and still graphics, special effects, or other visual images, using film, video, computers or other electronic tools and media for use in a broad variety of digital marketing initiatives.
7. Works closely with Marketing and Creative Services team members in brainstorming complex branding and marketing communication issues and contributes to research, creation, and prioritization of project requirements.
8. Maintains and organizes system of assets and uploads files to relevant management systems. Utilizes internal tracking systems and procedures.
9. Manages multiple projects at a time, including day-to-date production design and long-term projects in order to meet or exceed deadlines.
10. Review and approve creative services projects to ensure successful delivery, free of errors and inconsistencies.
11. Completes required training in support of duties and responsibilities of this position.
12. Other duties as assigned including those required to fulfill activities in support of public health emergency operations.
QUALIFICATIONS/SPECIFICATIONS:
Education: College degree in graphic arts or design related field, preferably BA or BS degree.
Experience: 3+ years illustrator, In-Design, Photoshop required.
Skills: Good page layout skills, pre-press knowledge, and MacOSX proficiency. Expertise in corporate branding and identity design, Illustrator, In-Design, Adobe Premiere and Photoshop are expected. Proficient knowledge of all stages of graphic design from concept to production to print required. Strong communication, problem solving and organizational skills. Process knowledge of photography / videography and art direction. The ability to work collaboratively with brands, cross-functional teams and external agencies.

INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:
- Regular internal contact with Department staff related to graphic design needs.
- External contacts with community partners, print shops and vendors.
PHYSICAL EFFORT: No unusual physical effort required.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY/ACCOUNTABILITY:
Direct Supervision – Print Production Specialist
Indirect Supervision_ – None._
Budget/Money/Material – Responsible for assigned computer hardware and software.
Reports to – Director, Marketing and Communications
SPECIAL CONDITIONS:
Must maintain THD record confidentiality according to HIPAA regulations.
Must possess ability and willingness to perform work-related travel.
WORKING CONDITIONS: No unusual working conditions.
FLSA Status: Exempt
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,453.62 - $75,000.00 per year
