As a Business Analysis Consultant, in the Optum Payer Services Client Delivery area you will work on the implementation and onboarding of clients for Payment Integrity, Risk Adjustment, STARS and HEDIS services and products.
You’ll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Work with Implementation team to understand the Client and plan for the Implementation
- Analyze the Client contract and work with Client and internal teams to understand, document and manage business requirements for clients being implemented for Risk Adjustment and Quality Solutions (pre – sale thru operational deployment)
- Work with implementation, technical and business teams to develop, document and approve custom solutions
- Create tools (workbooks, questionnaires, workflows, etc) to assist in the gathering of requirements for existing and new solutions
- Create a library of documentation that can be utilized and leveraged for standard implementation situations and configurations
- Analyze, review, forecast, and trend complex data
- Review the analysis and interpretation of others work
- Present analysis and interpretation for operational and business review and planning
- Support short and long term operational/strategic business activities through analysis
- Develop and implement effective/strategic business solutions through research and analysis of data and business processes
- Develop, document and implement effective/strategic solutions through research and analysis of data and business processes, including requirements gathering and work flow creation
Candidate must be able to:

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Health Administration, related field or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years of experience in business analysis, gathering, documenting and managing business requirements and utilizing industry standard tools and templates
- 5+ years of experience creating test plans, coordinating testing, writing test scenarios and reporting on test progress along with defect resolution
- Experience with process improvement, workflow, benchmarking and / or evaluation of business processes
- Intermediate level of proficiency with PC based software programs and automated database management systems (Excel, Access, PowerPoint)

Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, or New York City Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $82,100 to $146,900. The salary range for Connecticut/Nevada/New York City residents is $90,500 to $161,600. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
