• Brings ideas and implements solutions for improving infrastructure and software through automation, monitoring, performance tuning, health monitoring and tool creation.
• Implements highly available, secure, scalable, self-healing CI (Continuous Integration) and productive systems.
• Works closely with Product Engineering teams to provide fully automated delivery pipelines through development, test and production.
• Documents standard processes for system deployment, maintenance and alert management.
• Guides team to build out secure software that scales and is available at all times.
• Develops and maintains configuration management solutions.
• Performs basic engineering, design, implementation and maintenance tasks.
• Develops test automation frameworks in collaboration with other team members.
• Understands and uses best practices for deployment processes and support.
• Contributes directly to the planning and execution of the next iteration of core, customer-facing services.
• Develops and supports innovative tooling to support internal and external stakeholders.
• Participates in an active on-call rotation.
• Mentors team members joining the team on DevOps practices.
• Shares best practices with the Engineering organization via ‘Lunch and Learn’ sessions and other methods.

• SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• This position does not have supervisory/managerial responsibilities.
• This position is empowered to take initiative with applicable duties/projects

• 1+ years of experience with GCP (Google Cloud Platform), AWS and/or Azure
• 2+ years of experience in DevOps/SRE roles
• 1+ years of Kubernetes experience
• 3+ years as a Software Developer experience in one of C#, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python or Golang
• General cloud computing best practices, including networking and security
• Strong communication skills to work with cross-functional teams of peers and departments within the company
• Grasp of automation tools and experience working in a DevOps culture including sharing responsibilities with Developers
• Deep knowledge of Git
• Comfortable driving infrastructure as code in terraform with a focus on maintainability
• Experience implementing managed cloud services in new and existing stacks
• Experience orchestrating and supporting containerized deployments
• Experience with scripting (bash, powershell, JavaScript) and exposure to C# and Golang
• Experience with one or more of Helm, Kustomize, ArgoCD or similar
• Ability to build, monitor, and tune production servers and services
• Strong, resilient, results driven and self-directed individual with personal commitment to excellence
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills in working with team members across the US
• Ability to work both collaboratively as part of a team and independently to dive deep and solve tough problems
• Self-motivated and quick/continuous learn with a passion for innovation

• Wagering/gaming industry experience.
• Knowledgeable in horse racing, pari-mutuel wagering, gaming, sports wagering and/or social marketplace industries.
• Docker experience
• Experience with Kafka
• Experience with designing and building CI/CD ecosystems, CircleCI and Azure DevOps
