Job Summary:

CNPC Bohai is actively seeking creative, innovative, best-in-class experts to join our team. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced Senior Expert on Oil & Gas Well Testing Technology with experience in cementing. The R&D expert is primarily responsible for performing research in oilfield chemistry and applying theoretical foundations in the development of cementing advancements.


Responsibilities:


  • Research on multi-layer intelligent oil test tool and process in which long-term stable working temperature is not less than 175°C and pressure is 105MPa; form a variety of tools at different sizes and related processes to achieve large-scale application.
  • Research on the wireless transmission technology of downhole signals on full wellbore and realize the wireless transmission of full-duplex signals between surface and underground with the transmission rate of no less than 1Kbps, long-term stable working temperature of no less than 175°C, and pressure of 105MPa; The single-stage relay distance is at least 1000m.
  • Carry out the study of testing tools and techniques while drilling to form a variety of tools at different sizes to realize the sealing and switching of downhole reservoirs in the drilling process, and measure the relevant data to meet the requirements of test interpretation and evaluation and realize field application.


Key Skills:


  • Have good scientific literacy and solid theoretical foundation,
  • Stay up to date on industry standards and research in field
  • Have strong forward-looking judgment, interdisciplinary understanding, team collaborative innovation organization leadership.
  • Published literature or approved patents
  • Familiar with oil and gas field exploration, development engineering, test data interpretation and evaluation and other professional knowledge.
  • Experience conducting research and development of well testing tools and processes
  • Ability to contribute to the R&D direction and lead the R&D team to undertake major scientific research projects.


Qualifications:


PhD in chemistry, geology, engineering, or related field

Doctor's degree in related field.

3+ years of relevant experience, in oil test tool and process development for an international service company.


Work Environment:


This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Travel:


This position may require international and domestic travel. Travel between all BHDC locations and testing facilities is required.
