Job summary/overview
The FP&A Senior Financial Analyst – Customer Success is responsible for providing business and financial guidance to TriNet’s senior management team through various planning and analysis activities.
The person in this position provides budgets, forecasts, and financial reports & analyses for assigned department(s) and/or member(s) of the management team. The FP&A Senior Financial Analyst also assists in analyzing strategic endeavors, new business opportunities, customer profitability, long-term forecasting, new product ROI, and other ad hoc projects as required. This is an individual contributor role reporting to the Director of FP&A.
Essential duties/responsibilities
- Act as liaison and provide financial support to assigned departments or members of the leadership team
- Prepare annual targets and develop updated forecasts based upon ongoing business performance and predictive financial models
- Report on actual financial results against targets, provide analysis of forecast variances, and assist in guidance on future trends
- Influence strong cross-functional communications and enhance efficiencies by leading teams through operational improvement efforts
- Actively support ongoing improvement of TriNet’s financial, planning and business intelligence systems
- Participate in the data mining and reporting of business unit critical metrics for customer service center activities and other costs to serve.
- Analyze cost trends including developing new relevant key performance indicators.
- Assist Customer Success team with preparation of Quarterly Business Review materials covering KPI’s, service costs, and quarterly projections vs Plan and forecast.
- Develop expertise in navigating within and improving Tableau and Anaplan applications
- Support new products and initiatives with business case development.
- Perform ad hoc financial analysis projects and report preparation as identified by management team
- Other projects and responsibilities may be added at the manager’s discretion
Job requirements and qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance; MBA preferred
Training Requirements (licenses, programs, or certificates)
- None
Experience:
- 3+ years’ experience as Senior Financial Analyst Financial Planning and Analysis, or like experience
- Experience in public company reporting
Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Understanding of PEO business, CLTV (Customer Lifetime Value) and CTS (Cost to Serve) concepts and metrics preferred
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills required!
- Anaplan and Tableau experience preferred but not required
- Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized!
- Articulate with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to think creatively, highly-driven and self-motivated
- Demonstrated ability to roll-up sleeves and work with team members in a hands-on capacity
- Customer-focused
- A demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards and a diverse workplace
- Ability to adapt to a fast paced continually changing business and work environment while managing multiple priorities
WORK ENVIRONMENT/OTHER INFORMATION (Travel required, physical requirements, on-call schedules, etc.)
