Position - Senior Firmware Engineer

Location- West Union SC (100% Onsite)

Full Time role with Capgemini Engineering

What you’ll do:

• In this role, you will design, modify, and manage activities for a specific product or group of products from product definition and planning through production and release. In addition, you will serve as the central resource with design, process, manufacturing, test, quality, and marketing as the product(s) move to completion and distribution. Your involvement lasts throughout all stages of a product’s lifecycle, from product release through maintenance of the product and end of life decisions. Lastly, you will promote investigation and application of new technologies and industry trends to product management activities and ensure that products shipped meet specifications and quality goals.
• Develop firmware code to validate highly integrated system including micro-controller/processor, DSP, transceiver, and misc. interface circuits.
• Develop test code/scripts to stress the product intensively, analyse result, exposure issues and fix bugs.
• Implement low level drivers on bare metal or RTOS.
• Work with hardware engineer to conduct network and mixed signal HW characterization tests using laboratory instruments.
• Provide technical support to factory FVT, RMA and other internal departments.
• Provide design and project support in the areas of regulatory and reliability.
• Train and mentor junior engineers

What you’ll have:

• This position requires minimum 5 year of related industrial experience.
• Embedded C, C#/Python, Communication Protocols
• Competency in embedded C programming.
• Experience using communication protocols including UART, I2C, SPI and USB.
• Experience with memory (NAND, LPDDR, LPDDR2, eMMC) is a plus.
• Strong software skills for developing bench test code in C#/Python.
• Familiar with digital circuits test methodologies and techniques. Family with oscilloscope, logic analyzer and signal generator.
• Experience with real time operating system or Linux driver development is a plus.
• Hand on debugging skills
• Education: A Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent is required. A Master’s Degree in related fields is preferred.
