Cox Automotive is currently looking for a Senior Human Resources Business Partner to join our team. This role offers a flexible work-from-home/in-office schedule. Frequent regional travel to the field, office or shop is required. You need to reside in New Jersey or New York.

The Role:

The Senior Human Resources Business Partner (“Sr. HRBP”) serves as an influential people partner, advising Mobility Fleet Services leaders. The Sr. HRBP plays a key role in implementing the HR strategy and programs in support of short-term and long-term business goals with the overall goal of attracting, retaining, and developing the best talent.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement and execute the people strategy opportunities to compete and succeed. Contribute to the execution of the business plan through the creation and implementation of people strategies that attract, develop and retain talent. Collaborate with and influence leaders to prioritize strategic people priorities and solutions that accelerate the achievement of business priorities through talent management, diversity and inclusion, rewards and recognition, and organizational effectiveness.

  • Work closely with local leadership to identify, coach, and develop talent.

  • Monitor employee attrition through exit interviews, report findings and recommend retention strategies. Monitor and recommend strategies to address employee engagement.

  • Influence, support and implement integration planning along with the M&A team. Provide information, data, and details in support of creating a strong integration plan.

  • Support the development and implementation of People Solutions plans, programs, and tools with leaders and centers of excellence to build an enhance organization capability.

  • Create the culture that enables the business to be successful. Develop and drive the employee engagement strategy to help make Cox Automotive the very best place to be. Be the cultural enabler for your business. Promote a culture and environment that is productive, open and empowering and coach others to behave in line with our management and leadership principles.

  • Resource the organization to enable current and future success. Develop and execute resourcing and talent strategy for the business that ensures we have the right people in the right place at the right time. Build capability to ensure long term success.

  • Interpret data insightfully and generate original insights for strategic talent priorities. Analyze qualitative and quantitative data to solve problems and drive continuous improvement of talent priorities. Review external data and trends to provide relevant insight back into the business. Partner to create winning solutions to keep the business ahead of the competition.

  • Deliver better, quicker results through the expertise, resources and connections of your network. Work collaboratively across the organization. Be the influencer for the rest of People Solutions, to ensure the business receives the best support to ensure the delivery of the business and people strategies.

  • Anticipate and respond to changing business needs. Influence lasting change in assigned businesses by serving as a change advocate on companywide strategies and initiatives.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 4+ years of progressive experience in HR disciplines with a strategic focus. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master’s degree and 2 years’ experience; a Ph.D. and up to 1 year of experience; or 8 years’ experience in a related field

  • Experience working with, coaching and influencing leaders

  • Proven ability to influence and partner with leadership and individual contributor levels of the organization to achieve results

  • Strong HR and business acumen, including problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and self-initiative

  • Ability to diagnose a problem and identify and drive appropriate solutions

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Graduate degree in business, HR or related field

  • HR certification such as PHR, SPHR or GPHR

  • Demonstrated ability to drive human resource strategies and programs in a complex, fast growing, and dynamic environment

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a geographically disbursed and matrix organization
