Primary Responsibilities:

The program office requires a Senior Communications/Multimedia Specialist who will generate, implement, and maintain strategic communication plans. Candidate will advise/create program messaging, and as the program matures, will develop content for media kits, fact sheets, press releases, feature articles, briefs, and public release information in response to media queries for an advance research and development program.

Candidate will develop responses, provide planning, manage and brief the findings in response to inquiries/audits from diverse audiences to include Congressional, Department of Defense, other government agencies, media, and industry. Candidate will coordinate with Operations and the Public Affairs Office for approval to facilitate communications between media, industry partners, NAVAIR IPTs, and other stakeholders/agencies by providing specialized communications.

Candidate will provide public relations support to include, but not limited to; senior leadership interview preparation, media training, even planning/coordination, protocol activities, and engage in promoting or creating an intended public image for individuals, groups, or organizations.

The candidate will design multimedia products to include, but not limited to; infographics, illustrations, logos/branding, web content development, wireframe and web page mockups, prototyping, publications design, photography, digital image editing, museum-quality wall displays, tradeshow display and coordination.


Required Experience & Education:

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.

Candidate must have at least eight (8) years of experience in strategic communications and at least five (5) years of experience in graphic design, digital art, or similar discipline.

: Relevant experience can be substituted for education.


Desired Experience:

  • Candidate should be proficient in all Microsoft Office products and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Candidate should have demonstrated superior visual communication skills.
  • Candidate should have experience working in a dynamic, schedule constrained, and complex security environment.


Security Clearance Required:
Top Secret Clearance

Estimated Travel: ~10%
