Statutory Reporting
- Participate in the annual jurisdictional audit planning process with local foreign teams and external auditors
- Prepare and/or review the statutory annual accounts
- Prepare investment impairment files and related discounted cash flow models
- Coordinate local finance teams in various jurisdictions to build out legal entity forecasts
- Prepare the required Statutory-US GAAP analysis including investigating differences identified to determine if adjusting entries are needed
- Manage statutory audit process, tracking progress and coordinating the process up to and including final filing
- Coordinate final review and sign-off with internal management
- Perform special projects - preparation of interim statutory financial statements, perform ad-hoc analysis
Holding Company Accounting
- Payment release in conjunction with Treasury processes, coordinate accounting for Treasury transactions
- Perform month end close process (Post and/or review Journal Entries, HFM Load, and financial analysis)
- Respond to ad hoc requests, prepare financial analysis, when required by senior leadership
- Support Carrier annual foreign tax reporting processes as needed
Required:
- B.S. in Accounting
- 10 years prior relevant experience in accounting
Preferred:
- MBA or CPA
- Knowledge, insight and experience in general accounting processes
- SAP and HFM skills a plus
- Ability to lead strategic conversations with upper management
- Strong communication skills with the demonstrated ability to interact with all levels of staff and management as with third party service providers
- Ability to work independently, self-starter, taking initiative for improvements
- Experience working with and consolidating Financial Statements
- Ability to handle confidential material related to company financial results and disseminate such information with appropriate discretion
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP accounting requirements and ability to apply them to a variety of circumstances. Prior international reporting experience and/or IFRS knowledge considered a plus
