How you will make an impact?
The Senior Manager, Special Software Projects, will work directly with customers to develop functional requirements, specifications, related costs, and timelines for multiple projects that range from instrument automation, HL7 integration, data analysis, API development, cloud-based computing, etc. You will provide project management and technical leadership using our internal SDLC process to lead/coordinate resources and work with external partners to ensure continued alignment with our software direction and provide details on market requirements. You will also be responsible for improving our internal customer inquiry system.
What you will do?
- Guide, coach, and mentor software development engineers using our internal SDLC
- Work closely with various multi-functional teams throughout organization
to influence product development and improve products - Visit customers and work with HLA experts to understand current and future software delivery requirements
- Collaborate with leadership team to determine technical and business directions
- Integrate with existing software development team to deliver new cloud-based platform
How you will get here:
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or 15+ years of experience in leading software projects
Experience
- 10+ years of hands-on software development experience
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with C#, .NET, MS SQL, Crystal/Microsoft Reporting, Python, Angular
- 5+ years of direct supervisory experience and/or led cross-functional project teams/initiatives
- Demonstrated ability in working with Software Instrument Automation
- Proven experience in working with Antibody and Molecular testing data
- Prior experience in developing cloud-based applications
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Strong knowledge of AWS/Azure Cloud Technology architecture
- Ability to function independently in fast paced changing environment with time and resource constraints
- Proven effective written and oral communication skills
- Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail

The salary range estimated for this position is $150,000 - $199,000. This position will also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. Actual compensation will be confirmed in writing at the time of offer.
