Citizenship Requirements:

Office Location: Clarksburg, MD
Tele-work Opportunities: Hybrid (3 days on-site, 2 days remote)
Travel Requirements: Minimal domestic travel may be expected (less than 10%)
Position Responsibilities
- Develops Inspection Plans and processes for Receiving, In-Process and Final Inspection activities
- Create sampling plan accounting for product specific needs
- Facilitate and drive root cause and corrective action using industry standard best practices such as 8D
- Create/Modify documents to be used for process audits
- Ability to create process and reporting mechanisms to measure quality cost metrics (E.g., PPM defect measurements both internal facing/external facing)
- Understanding/Ability to utilize statistical methods and incorporate it in process control
- Supports Program Quality Assurance activities for production programs to include First Article Inspections (FAI), Material Review Board (MRB), Change Control Board (CCB), Failure Review Board (FRB), and Work Product review and approval
- Understanding /Ability to participate in APQP cycle and create PPAP flow downs as required
- Ability to follow and comply with all Company policies, procedures and guidelines including RR safety procedures.
- Ability to learn and work with ERP, PLM and QMS tools as organization evolves
Required Skills and Abilities
- Understanding of advanced mathematical concepts.
- High-level of visual awareness.
- Advanced organizational skills.
- Experience drafting reports and collating data.
- Ability to work alone with minimal supervision.
- Ability to analyze and interpret technical information.
Preferred Qualification
- Familiarity with IPC standard and /or Certification in IPC standards pertinent to PCB, Cables and rework of Electronics
- Demonstrated knowledge of electro-mechanical assemblies as well as familiarity with schematics and RF Test equipment
- Demonstrated knowledge and application of APQP/PPAP
- ASQ Certification as a Quality Engineer
- Certification in /Understanding of Six Sigma principles
- Understanding of ASME / ANSI Y14.5 with demonstrated ability to read mechanical drawings
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products and Statistical Software (MINITAB, SAS JMP etc.)
- Industry knowledge from previous work related to automotive, Trucking, Electronics, or UAV industries
Education & Experience
- B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering, Quality Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Equivalent
- 5+ years of Quality Engineering experience
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
- Ability to travel up to 10% of time domestically
- Must be able to climb onto, into, & under vehicles
- Must be able to stand for extended period of time.
