The Senior Accountant will perform all aspects of reinsurance accounting.
Job Responsibilities:
- Payments of deposit premium for XOL treaties
- Quarterly financial ceded premium on XOL treaties - GNWP & GNEP Basis
- XOL treaty True-up calculations
- GL reconciliation - (Premiums Payable XOL) for quarterly close including commentary and each treaty reviewed quarterly
- GL reconciliation - (Premiums Payable QS) - review list of treaties quarterly working to verify accuracy
- Settlement on shared treaties with Arch Canada and UK
- Commission reconciliation for Finance
- QS accounts - Rending and settlements along with applying cash call credits
- Assistance with PWC requests
- Assistance with collateral review and requests - annual process
- LOC maintenance (increases and decreases required)
- Special reporting required with affiliates
- Facultative loss calculations – financial closings and management reporting
- 3+ years’ experience working in Accounting/Finance with emphasis in the insurance/reinsurance industry.
- Ability to demonstrate critical thinking and analysis.
- Desire to pursue innovation and improvement
- Has strong interpersonal, communication, and organization skills.
- Proficient Excel skills: Pivot tables, v-lookups; data management
- Degree in Accounting/Finance
- For individuals assigned or hired to work in , the base salary range is USD $79,900.00/Yr. to USD $107,900.00/Yr. as of the time of posting. Position is incentive eligible.
- Total individual compensation (base salary, short & long-term incentives) offered will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to geographic location, scope & responsibilities of the role, qualifications, talent availability & specialization as well as business needs. The above range may be modified in the future
