SCOPE:

Administer the general accounting operations for GGI Retail Division; coordinate internal auditing procedures, full cycle accounting and revenue recognition to enhance the mission of Goodwill by providing diligent oversight of the assigned GGI affiliate.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Daily tracking and reconciliation all retail revenue including store, ecommerce, marketplace and smart safe

2. Daily reconciliation of PayPal and Shopify accounts

3. Prepare and record asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information

4. Maintain and prepare general ledger by transferring subsidiary accounts; preparing a trial balance; and reconciling entries

5. Maintenance of recurring general ledger entries

6. Maintains and balances subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions; and resolving discrepancies. Coordinates with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable on proper codification of transactions

7. Maintenance of the trial balances

8. Account analyses

9. Budget to actual variance analyses

10. Compilation and publication of monthly financial reports

11. Assist in annual budget process

12. Assist in preparation of annual Audit files

2. Perform or assist with any duties or operations, as required to maintain workflow and to meet schedules and quality requirements.

3. Maintain safe work area and comply with safety procedures and equipment operating rules, keeping work area in a clean and orderly condition.


KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

1. Bachelor’s Degree with a major in accounting

2. Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience

3. Retail and ecommerce experience strongly preferred

4. Confidential, organized, analytical and detail-oriented

5. Ability to establish and maintain rapport with external and internal customers


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

1. General office environment

2. Frequent sitting
