What You’ll Do: As a Senior Statistician you will ensure accuracy, timeliness and validity of bureau reporting and serve as data quality analyst. You will:

• Respond to and resolve customer service request according to FBL Financial Group, Inc., policies in a prompt, efficient and courteous manner.
• Review and analyze statistical calls, edit listings, and error reports to be sure the requested date is within acceptable standards of accuracy and timeliness as established by bureaus to minimize or avoid monetary penalties.
• Assure the accuracy and availability of statistical date by serving as liaison between statistical reporting agencies and company departments.
• Participate in industry advisory functions and be proactive concerning statistical reporting as it impacts expenses and our companies.
• Assist with determining and consult on the implementation of procedural or system changes by reviewing all requests and bulletins received from bureaus.
• Specify system modification requirements and assist with testing and implementation of application systems to make sure changes are they relate to statistical reporting are implemented.

What It Takes to Join Our Team:

• College degree or equivalent required (course work in math and computer science preferred), and two years of relevant experience required.
• Willing to learn basic mainframe computer knowledge including JCL, TSO, and query language programming.
• Require one of IIA, AU, AAM or equivalent.
• Able to analyze and resolve problems.
