Summary: Tetra Tech invites you to consider a rewarding opportunity within our Missoula, MT office providing technical support to various offices in the intermountain west including Spokane, WA; Missoula, MT; Helena, MT; Billings, MT; Bozeman, MT; and Salt Lake City, UT.


Your Role:

Tetra Tech has a position for a Senior Engineer/Senior Scientist in our Missoula, Montana office. We are seeking an energetic individual interested in supporting a variety of challenging projects in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will work closely with Principal and Project Engineers, Scientists, and Project Managers on a variety of environmental remediation, solid waste, civil construction projects, and mining projects. The position will include duties such as:

  • Preparation of Sampling and Analysis Plans, Quality Assurance Project Plans, Investigation Work Plans, NEPA documents, and technical reports.
  • Environmental data compilation, review, and evaluation.
  • Project reporting.
  • Strong problem solving, time management, and verbal communication skills are required.
  • The position the ability to interpret data resulting from environmental sampling, drilling, hazardous waste characterization, etc.
  • Review projects as they relate to climate change, sustainability, and/or environmental justice for NEPA documents.

Qualifications:

  • B.S/B.A. in Environmental Science, Engineering, Geology or equivalent. M.S. preferred.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Strong technical writing skills.
  • Knowledge of remediation methods or strong interest in learning.
  • Ability to interpret field data collected by others and generating technical reports.
  • Strong skills and proficiency with computer systems and Microsoft-based software, including MS Excel, for data analysis.
  • OSHA HAZWOPER certification preferred.
  • A Pre-employment drug screen in compliance with state regulations is required.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record without restrictions.

Target pay range: $65.00/hr to $80.00/hr. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
