The Medtronic Tempe Campus is a Shared Technology Center for micro-electronics responsible for helping patients through the anticipation, development and production of solutions that matter. You can help us deliver industry defining manufacturing and quality related learning to our employees through the development and implementation of a blended learning framework.
Help us to achieve competency objectives and requirements; improved learning analysis; effective and efficient learning compliance; and employee recognition and achievement of learning goals. You will be a member of the Learning Delivery team which is functionally within the Tempe Operational Excellence Organization. You will work cross functionally with Learning Management System (LMS) administrators and specialists, Quality Assurance and Operations. You will help the training function communicate learning and training needs to broad and diverse populations at the Tempe facility.
Working closely with functional stakeholders early in learning development – you will investigate competency objectives, audience needs, and speed of learning goals. Based on your findings, you will perform learning method analysis and design; process and document analysis; compliance reviews; consistency and effectiveness analysis; and motivational needs.

A Day in the Life
- Design and deliver programs to train all levels of personnel (indirect and direct labor).
- Analyze and eliminate or modify inefficient and ineffective learning approaches.
- Support the new employee orientation, onboarding and training process across the campus ensuring a consistent approach and standard.
- Develop assessments, tests and workplace aids, e-learning and micro-learning programs, conduct training classes, and develop criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities.
- Keep abreast of training and development research: learning theory, motivation theory, and new materials, methods, and techniques.
- Develop in-house programs and practices to identify developmental needs, including preparing personnel for more responsible positions and increasing effectiveness in present assignments.
- May evaluate and/or oversee contractors or vendors to develop and/or administer training programs.
- Support the learning function during compliance related activities, such as audits.
- Bachelors degree required and minimum of 4 years relevant experience OR
- Advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience
- Relevant Learning Certification(s)
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of learning in a regulated or ISO certified industry
- Cornerstone OnDemand experience
- Learning design system experience. Able to recommend and utilize industry appropriate learning tools and resources.
