Job Summary
Support and meet the overall sales objectives of MTech Mechanical’s Service group. Drives the sale of MTech Mechanical’s service capabilities, as well as those of our commercial and special projects groups. Utilizes selling, pricing, and management skills to support the Service team in securing service work and designing preventive maintenance contracts to satisfy the client’s needs and achieve a fair profit for the company.
Essential Job Function
- Responsible for meeting overall sales objectives by reaching assigned gross margin dollars and gross margin % objectives
- Focus on the Western Slope, including Vail Valley, Roaring Fork Valley, Glenwood Springs to Grand Junction geographical areas
- Generate sales proposals and perform presentations for potential clients
- Ability to sell new service contracts and bind MTech to new contracts to grow the revenue within the Service department
- Utilize and maintain the client database as it relates to the Service group
- Perform consistent client contact before and after the sale
- Create new client relationships, while effectively maintaining established client bases; responsible for maintaining excellent client relations, this includes responding promptly to client requests and maintaining frequent Client contact
- Review and determine product prices to meet the objectives of selling a job and ensuring fair profit for MTech Mechanical
- Effectively participate on MTech Mechanical’s Service team to satisfy the client’s needs, as well as with other employees to resolve project related problems and issues; maintain excellent working relationships with internal and external clients
- Support the total quality and team-based efforts; identify and respond, quickly and effectively to the needs of internal and external clients
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills, and must establish positive internal and external client relationships
- Work within the guidelines of the safety and employee policy
- Review client invoices prior to mailing for accuracy and fairness
- Other duties as assigned
- Participate in MTech University Educational program
- Promote and sell HVAC and Plumbing services
- Provide “Special Projects” construction group support, sales, and limited administration as the office and field capabilities grow.
- Regular and predictable attendance is expected to meet the requirements of this position

Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years related experience and the ability to demonstrate past service sales performance along with good client references
- High school graduate, college degree preferred
- Must be approved to drive per MTech’s driving standards
- High level of client service skills
- Committed to providing quality client service 100% of the time
- Requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail and good organizational ability
- Must be flexible, able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Fluent with technical components of HVAC systems
- Must understand energy rates, utility rebates, and building energy management concepts
- Must understand HVAC system functions and design concepts.
- Self-motivated individual who can work independently to build one’s own book of business
- Proficient with Microsoft office suite
- Experience with CRM systems (Cosential) is a plus
- Must be an excellent team player
