Service Advisor
As one of Houston’s fastest-growing Ford dealerships, we are expanding our service department to ensure that we deliver the experience that our clients expect. We are adding an additional Service Advisor to our team because quite frankly, we do not have enough manpower to ensure each client receives the level of engagement they desire in addition to the stress that it creates for our team who wants to deliver that experience to every client. As a Ford Truck Center, 95% of our service business is commercial so our advisors must be adept at building relationships with drivers and decision-makers. They are often frequently asked technical questions, so our advisors need to be able to communicate well with the technicians.

QUALIFICATIONS:

JOB DESCRIPTION: Service Advisor
The successful candidate will be a highly motivated and organized individual with a strong ability to provide exceptional client interactions. They will be able to work well in a family atmosphere and will take great pride in producing outstanding results with unparalleled quality and a sense of urgency.
- Acknowledge clients in a timely and friendly fashion
- Work with clients to determine the primary concerns and currently due preventive maintenance services
- Check vehicle history and Oasis report for open recalls and previously recommended but declined services
- Generate repair orders with accurate and detailed information
- Create concern lines using the customer's verbiage and as much detail about the concern as possible to aid the technician in an efficient and accurate diagnosis
- Perform a walk-around inspection with the client of their vehicle and document any preexisting damage with photographs
- Set mutually agreeable expectations with the client for the length of time for follow-up and/or completion
- Promptly contact clients with the technician’s findings
- Provide follow-up with the status of the vehicle at a minimum on at least once a day
- Exchange daily status reports with the technicians of each vehicle
- Follow all company and manufacturer policies and procedures
- Handle incoming phone calls promptly and courteously
- Maintain Ford training certifications
- Book completed repairs
- Issue purchase orders for outside services provided
- Understand and apply factory and aftermarket warranties
- Collect all payments due prior to releasing the vehicle
- Ensure completed vehicles are picked up promptly
- Close repair orders the same day as the vehicle is delivered
- Coordinate pick up and delivery of vehicles
- Coordinate ride shares to pick up or deliver clients
- Provide courteous, polite, and professional service with a smile
- Maintain a clean and organized work area

THE LOCATION:
Chastang Ford is located in Houston, TX approximately one-mile East of I-69 on the 610 North Loop East.
Position Purpose:
Assists internal and external customers with parts requests to ensure that the correct part is obtained the first time. This includes identifying correct parts and locating them in inventory or ordering the requested part. Assists in the operations of the Parts Department by maintaining and tracking the parts inventory and accessories.

- Coordinates with Service Department, Sales Department, and others to ensure that parts requests are met.

- 1 year in an automotive parts environment preferred
EXPERIENCE
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Moving throughout the Parts Department
- Using a computer to look up information and write up orders
- Standing six to eight hours during a shift
- Bending, stretching, lifting, reaching, and climbing
- Must be able to regularly lift and exert up to 50 pounds of force in order to carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects
- Using equipment consistent with industry standards
- Must have a valid Texas Driver’s License, be insurable, and be able to drive
