Summary Young Living is looking for a high-energy, self-motivated, results-driven manager of shipping. This position plays a significant role in providing Young Living’s members with products. The ideal candidate has comprehensive experience in warehouse experience, thrives in team environments, and exhibits leadership abilities.
Essential Functions

1. Create detailed schedules to minimize overtime and to achieve both service standard and cost per unit/unit per hour budgetary goals
2. Continually monitor and evaluate people, resources, equipment, floor space, etc. to ensure an efficient and timely flow of raw materials, finished product and information
3. Adjust utilization of resources to meet or exceed established production schedules
4. Make recommendations to improve methods, equipment performance, quality and working conditions; incorporate best practices
5. Analyze resources needs and prepares justification/ROI for additional manpower, equipment, or supplies
6. Review attendance, accuracy, and productivity records for the staff members under their direction. Coaches employees and, as appropriate, incorporates corrective action in partnership with HR and senior management
7. Coordinate regularly with the supervisory staff of other departments to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of all involved departments and to meet deadlines
8. Report machine and equipment malfunctions to maintenance personnel
9. Preform frequent walkthroughs to monitor employee activity and to ensure that housekeeping standards are met and that assets are used/treated with care
10. Ensure that all employees are thoroughly trained in their job duties and on company policy and procedure
11. Perform activities of workers supervised as needed and understands their job functions
12. Ensure that policy and procedure are closely adhered to and enforce safety regulations
13. Maintain an appropriate labor-management relationship with subordinates consistent with existing laws and the desired culture for the company
14. Analyze and resolve work problems or assists workers in solving work problems. Addresses questions and problems, resolving them in a manner that preserves the culture, rules and standing law
15. Initiate plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals
16. Perform other reasonable functions as assigned or requested

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. The role routinely uses standard office equipment such as a laptop, desktop, smartphone, photocopiers, shredders, and filing cabinets. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Essential oils are worn and/or diffused in the work environment.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to use manual dexterity to handle, feel, and operate objects, tools, and controls and reach with hands and arms. This individual is frequently required to stand, talk, and hear. Specific vision abilities of this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. The employee is required to type, file, and lift office supplies up to 20 pounds. The employee must be physically able to tolerate the scent of essential oils worn or diffused.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This position requires the incumbent to be physically present at the assigned worksite. The regular schedule is from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with an hour lunch, Monday through Friday. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Required Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, five years of managerial experience in a production or distribution role. One or more years in a supervisory role. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted for this requirement.
