Shipping Clerk


Position Summary: Process incoming product for shipment performing all duties to ensure timely and accurate shipment of product to customers.


First Shift Hours: 7:00am – 3:30pm, Monday - Friday with overtime as needed.


Essential Functions:

  • Receive incoming product for shipment performing all duties to ensure timely and accurate shipment of product to customers via UPS, truck line, overnight, or other shipping methods as needed
  • Organize product and shipping area and take responsibility to familiarize self with the shipping area and any changing needs
  • Train team members on job tasks and be available as liaison to Medeco team for shipping questions and issues resolving these through the proper channels
  • Work overtime as needed to maintain daily on-time delivery
  • Maintain 5S and be proactive to improve safety
  • Perform any additional duties required to assure smooth product flow
  • Perform responsibilities in accordance with all company standards, policies and procedures
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Basic math skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • Must be mobile to move from work station to another
  • Must be able to work in a team environment with good communication skills
  • Heavy lifting – up to 65 lbs. occasionally
  • Organizational skills

Physical Requirements:

  • Normal, corrective vision range; ability to see color and to distinguish letters, numbers and symbols.
  • Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, bend and reach.
  • Ability to reach with hands and arms.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 65 pounds.
  • Must have manual dexterity to operate computer keyboard and standard office equipment.
  • Must be capable of withstanding long period of viewing data on a computer screen and/or in paper format.
  • Ability to interact with a diversity of people and diverse levels of personnel.
