Job description
The Shop Assistant will report to the Panel Shop Supervisor and will provide and administrative support to branch 11 those located in the New Berlin office. The position will assist with challenging projects, encourage teamwork, and supply energy and enthusiasm required to continually improve processes within the administrative and accounting branches thereby supporting branch managers, department supervisors, and other administrative and accounting staff to ensure the highest results possible.
Responsibilities:
- Inventory Management
- Handles incoming and outgoing packages in a warehouse
- Keeps accurate records
- Packs and weighs items; comfortable moving heavy items
- Prints shipping labels and postage
- Inspects goods received for damage
- Distributes products to other departments
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in shipping preferred
- Familiar with Microsoft Suite
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to reason and think logically in problem solving.
- Professional and positive attitude toward responsibilities and coworkers.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize various daily responsibilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication
