The Software Developer is responsible for the design, development, configuration, testing, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of Costco Travel’s Integrated IT Management platform, ServiceNow. This role will provide analysis of problems while working toward solutions to technical issues; deploy new releases and/ or enhancements; maintain and support the platform’s operational functions; and perform system and integration testing. The Software Developer will provide platform configuration and customization assistance including, but not limited to: screen tailoring, workflow administration, report setup, data imports, custom scripting, and third party software integrations. The successful candidate will be part of a team responsible for the ongoing enhancement and maintenance of the Service Management platform.

ROLE
- Provides daily support of the ServiceNow platform; including script development, configuration, integration, and administration.
- Performs appropriate QA activities, such as writing unit tests and performing functional tests.
- Determines scope; estimates work effort and duration of development activities.
- Designs solutions to meet business requirements.
- Creates and maintains API and data integration processes between ServiceNow and other services.
- Monitors health and usage of the application.
- Participates in design and code reviews.
- Responds to requests and provides incident resolution.
- Creates process documentation for the team and provides internal training to team members.
- Generates reports and KPI analysis as needed.
REQUIRED
- 1-3 years’ ServiceNow experience with knowledge of IT Service Management, IT Asset Management, Configuration Data Management, Governance, risk management, and compliance.
- 2-3 years’ experience with web technologies, including API's/CSS/XML/HTML/ReST/WebServices.
- Working knowledge of JavaScript frameworks, such as Angular.js, jQuery or Jelly.
- Experience with the SDLC including Requirements Analysis, Design, Installation, Development, Testing (application code and user acceptance), and Deployment.
- Working knowledge of source code management tools.
- Ability to communicate technical information in business terms.
- Ability to work independently and multi-task.
- Ability to independently plan deliverables and coordinate with team-members.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to logically think through problem situations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Possesses a firm understanding of object-oriented concepts, especially as they pertain to JavaScript (ES5).
- Understands Costco Travel's IT processes and able to work closely with the business owners.
- Understands and adheres to Costco’s Mission Statement and Code of Ethics.
- Scheduling flexibility to meet the needs of the business, including 24x7 on call support as part of a scheduled rotation.
Recommended
- Minimum 3 years’ of development experience using languages such as JavaScript, Java or C#.
- Experience working as a contributing member on an Agile Scrum based Delivery Team.
- Working knowledge of software design patterns.
- Working knowledge of test automation frameworks, such as ServiceNow ATF, Selenium or Cucumber.
- Experience as a ServiceNow Administrator, Developer or Implementation Specialist.Certified ServiceNow Admin (Advanced).
- Demonstrated project work of advanced ServiceNow development using Orchestration or Discovery.
- Exposure to ITIL concepts.

Pay Scale:
Level 3: $125,000 - $160,000
Level 4: $150,000 - $180,000
