Zurich (Anoka, MN) is seeking a Software Engineer to be a part of the IT Development Team acting as the highest-level technician for the most complex computer applications and/or application initiatives, as an individual contributor and/or team lead. This role will have a hybrid in office/remote schedule which you will discuss with your manager.

Daily responsibilities include:

• Acts in the highest-level technical role as an individual contributor and/or team lead for the most complex computer applications and/or application initiatives.
• Utilizes a thorough understanding of available technology, tools, and existing designs.
• Works on the most complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires evaluation of intangible variance factors.
• Plans, performs, and acts as the escalation point for the most complex platform designs, coding, and testing.
• Leads most complex multiple modeling, simulations, and analysis efforts.
• Acts as expert technical resource to programming staff in the program development, testing, and implementation process
• Creates Automated Acceptance Testing Scripts as needed.

Required qualifications:

• Bachelors’ Degree and 5 or more years of experience in the Application Design and Development area
  OR
• High School Diploma or Equivalent and 7 or more years of experience in the Application Design and Development area

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience programming in C#.Net and/or VB.Net.
• Experience with HTML5 and Bootstrap
• Experience with Angular, JavaScript & Typescript, ASP.NET, Web API, and MVC software architecture patterns.
• Proficient with Microsoft Visual Studio and Azure Dev Ops
