The agency is seeking a highly qualified candidate for the position of Special Projects Manager for Mosquito Control in Richmond County.

Job Responsibilities

Under direct supervision, will conduct pool, tire and property inspections for complaints about violations of HO-76-13. Will collect and maintain electronic and paper records to include inspection reports, photographs, written communications and results of all actions taken. Will work with the Vector Surveillance Coordinator on all public education events. Scheduling, determining equipment and personnel to be used, setting up the site and information to be passed out including promotional giveaways. Will work with the DP&C Pond Inspection Program. Will see that all records are maintained electronically and paper records to include inspections, photographs, written communications and results of actions taken. Will assist inspectors when necessary with related questions and source out solutions for the inspectors. Will maintain direct communications with the MS 4 Compliance Officer for Augusta Richmond County, Mosquito Control Operations Manager, Entomologist, Administrative Assistant and Program Manager to ensure an uninterrupted flow of information and activities conducted by Mosquito Control. When necessary will become a temporary fill in person for any position vacant because of illness, accident or other emergency.

Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required.

Valid drivers license and insurance required

- College degree preferred. - Category 31 and 41 Pesticide License required within one year

  • One-year general mosquito control related experience preferred Field work related to mosquito identification Public speaking experience
