GENERAL FUNCTION

This position is primarily responsible for the coordination, creation and deployment of brand marketing content to continue and elevate Costa’s role as a premium storyteller. The Content Marketing Specialist will assist the Sr. Digital Manager in driving brand storytelling and support product launch campaigns by managing the creation and execution of photography and videography content – from strategic planning to storyboarding and production. This role will also assist in the distribution strategy for this content across traditional and new media platforms. This position reports to the Senior Digital Marketing Manager and will work closely with the Digital Marketing and Community Marketing teams as well as in-house and outside vendor partners.


MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee the creation of new photo and video content to meet project and brand requirements.
  • Work with Sr. Digital Manager to curate and create shot lists.
  • Manage external video and photo partners during content planning, production and editing phases to meet timelines, budgets and objectives.
  • Manage shoot logistics.
  • Work with Community Marketing team to source pros and partners for content needs.
  • Work with Product Marketing team to ensure proper product placement opportunities.
  • Ensure photo and video content is distributed effectively to properly tell the story, best represent the brand and amplify our reach.
  • Work with the Digital Marketing team to ensure appropriate placement across digital channels.
  • Work with Community Marketing team to leverage pro, ambassador and partner networks to share our content and extend our reach.
  • Work with external vendors as needed to assist in distribution execution.


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 1-3 year(s) experience with brand marketing, content creation or content production.
  • Strong understanding of content marketing and how to best leverage storytelling and SEO best practices to drive reach and engagement.
  • Familiarity with the production process and ability to manage photo and video shoots confidently and effectively.
  • Possess strong writing skills and a passion for storytelling through written and visual content.
  • Adoption and adherence to Costa brand procedures for consumer communications.
  • Intrinsically motivated: self-directed and capable of working effectively in a fast-paced environment while juggling multiple projects and adhering to tight and demanding deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills and an ability to contribute in a collaborative team environment.
  • Intuitive grasp of the Costa brand and a drive to impact and satisfy consumers.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Passion for consumer engagement within social channels to drive results and meet goals.
  • Knowledge of and passion for fishing and conservation strongly preferred.
  • Experience with design programs – e.g. Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva, etc. – preferred.
  • Experience with photography and/or videography and associated editing platforms a plus.
  • Experience working with photographers and videographers a plus.
