This Opportunity
WSP is currently initiating a search for a Full Time Senior Enclosure Consultant for our Arlington, VA; and Washington D.C. office.
Be involved in projects with our Building Enclosures Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges.
Work will include new building and restoration design of roofing and vertical building enclosures, building enclosure design consulting, including design and design reviews, specifications, design detailing, forensic investigation, and building enclosure commissioning. Candidate will be expected to manage teams of multiple staff on multiple projects at the same time, offer technical guidance, coordinate the appropriate technical leads for the project, and be the primary point of contact for the client.
Your Impact
- Provide building enclosure consulting services.
- Manage and guide project teams for completing building enclosure design reviews.
- Review fenestration, vertical facade, roofing systems, and waterproofing.
- Perform technical reviews and completing on-site forensic investigations and functional performance testing of enclosure systems.
- Business development and maintaining strong relationships with clients and external professional and industry groups.
- Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources, and conduct and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
Who You Are
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Architecture, or related discipline
- 5 - 7 years of experience in Building Enclosures / Construction
- Experience in quality control and management
- Extensive knowledge in all manners of building construction including fenestration, facade materials, and roofing and waterproofing
- Extensive and successful business development experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in one of the above-listed disciplines
- Experience using Revit and/or AutoCAD software.
