Overview:
The FPA Senior Analyst will support the plan-to-perform process across PPL to deliver annual operating budgets, as well as longer-term business plans, with finance and business insights, work closely with Finance Business Partnering teams regarding key assumptions that will drive results and strategy of businesses and groups, and support, challenge and drive the strategic, operational and financial decisions and priorities.
Responsibilities:
  • Support the plan to perform process across PPL to deliver annual operating budgets, as well as longer-term business plans, with finance and business insights.
  • Work closely with Finance Business Partnering teams regarding key assumptions that will drive results and strategy of businesses and groups.
  • Support, challenge and drive the strategic, operational and financial decisions and priorities.
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications
  • College Degree in Finance and/or combination of education and minimum of 3+ years of progressive growth in business support roles
  • Broad range of financial, management and business modelling experience
  • Experience in utility service business activities and systems preferred
Preferred Qualifications
  • Excellent written / oral communications skills and follow-up
  • Strong range of financial, management and business modelling experience
  • The ability to influence and impact the decisions and operational and financial performance of senior stakeholders and their teams throughout the relevant business area
  • Strong commercial skills
  • Good strategic outlook. Joins the dots between long term strategy and operational and financial performance, whilst dealing with ambiguity
  • Proven ability to adapt style of operational and financial information presentation to suit a range of stakeholders, both financial and non-financial.
  • Demonstrated Business Partner experience to act as a trusted advisor using strategic insight to deliver tangible performance improvements
