What You'll Do:
The Senior Marketing & Distribution Business Relationship Consultant (BRC) is responsible for working with multiple agile delivery teams to implement business technology/solutions for Marketing & Distribution, manage projects, perform business analyst and quality assurance roles, coordinate and/or deliver training, and act as a liaison between IT, the businesses and the field. This position is focused on the main various Marketing technology systems that support corporate and local agents sales and marketing efforts. t. This person will also work with FBFS IT to coordinate and leverage the partnerships with several external IT partner companies as needed.
This position requirements include:
- Act as a liaison between the business, IT and external vendors on projects, building relationships on all sides and resolving conflicts when necessary. This may include acting for your manager as needed by running meetings, following up with the business or IT, and resolving conflicts.
- Build and maintain open lines of communication by assisting in gathering and reporting project information, and presenting to department VP’s, business sponsor or executive leadership when requested.
- Coordinate and/or deliver training and user support as needed for: new systems, system enhancements, new or changed procedures, and new or changed processes.
- Manage one or more business area projects within a program. This includes business and technical enhancements of all sizes including high-visibility, strategically aligned projects. Works with department VP’s and business sponsor to set priorities.
- Act as project manager for small to medium sized projects as needed. Assign, monitor and manage tasks assigned to IT and business staff and report status to IT sponsor and Business sponsor on a regular basis. Track project issues and assist with resolution when needed.
- Complete business analysis tasks on projects assigned. These projects can be small to large. Tasks may include studying and documenting current work processes, researching alternatives to current work processes, working with the business and IT to gather and document requirements, risks and constraints, developing stories, use cases, and test plans.
- Coordinate quality assurance tasks as required for assigned projects. This may include: assigning test plans to IT or Business Unit staff and monitoring testing results, following up on issues to ensure they are resolved appropriately, reporting testing status and results to Business and IT sponsors, and Project Manager for the project.
- Mentor and coach other staff members within your assigned portfolio domain as needed
What It Takes to Join Our Team:
- College degree or equivalent plus seven years relevant experience required.
- Specific experience working with various marketing/sales systems including Microsoft software.
- Must be familiar with Farm Bureau products, services, and strategies affecting the life business.
- Must possess excellent leadership, oral and written communication, planning, decision making, and negotiation skills.
- Must be results-oriented and able to adapt and deal with ambiguous situations and manage expectations.
- Must be able to build strong relationships with the Businesses, IT and external vendors.
- Proven ability to negotiate for competing resources and to generate consensus among multiple interrelated priority projects.
- Must have the aptitude to learn both business and technical terms and processes well enough to be a strong liaison between IT, the Business and external vendors.
- Some travel may be required. (up to 20%)
