What we Need:

The goal of the position is to develop and implement operational and supply-chain strategies which emphasizes safety, delivery, quality, compliance, cost, cash-flow and employee engagement. The position oversees all areas of operations from material procurement through product shipment with accountability for raw material supply chain, procurement, engineering, manufacturing, distribution and overall facilities in Buffalo. The Sr. Operations Manager will capture the confidence and provide oversight to a team of approximately 90 and will develop skillsets within the Operations leadership team.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Attract, develop, motivate, and retain top quality talent - lead team to maximize their potential and strategically upgrade overall potential, skills and capabilities. Continue to developa top performing operations team in Buffalo.
  • Ensure that daily, weekly, monthly order fulfillment goals are met.
  • Leads, mentors, engages, and develops teams to enhance their contributions, including recognition, training, coaching, and managing performance.
  • Recommend operational strategies for improvements and savings within all areas of Operations to ensure productivity, efficiencies, and revenue growth.
  • Ensure smooth and professional cooperation between the teams, leaders, and shifts ensuring that the strategies, targets and procedures of the Operations team are clearly defined and applied.
  • Relationship development with leadership throughout facility to understand business needs, identify areas for optimization, and best serve our customers.
  • Consolidate and achieve consensus where necessary between different groups and individuals.
  • Understand performance metrics as well as order, production, inventory trends and educate teams where improvements are needed.
  • Ensure compliance with Brady policies, appropriate safety, OSHA, and regulatory standards.
  • Deliver against operational targets set forth by the business platforms and financial targets as agreed in budgets.
  • Development of forward looking equipment plans focused on automation.
  • Develop an annual improvement plan that provides a visual, understandable and credible road map from current performance to target performance (safety, quality, delivery and cost).

What You'll Need To Be Successful:

  • 10 years of experience in a Manufacturing, Production, and Supply Chain.
  • Experience with operating plant equipment safely and efficiently
  • Prior experience in managing by influence across multiple teams with direct people management experience.
  • Background in process improvements, product life cycle management, and production planning is required.
  • BA/BS Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements for operating a manufacturing facility.
  • Strong aptitude for root cause analysis and troubleshooting operational issues.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and computer technology.
