Sr. Paralegal

As a Barclays Sr. Paralegal you will be responsible for providing dedicated and efficient legal support to assist in the management of litigation and related matters and will be based in Wilmington, Delaware. You will provide Paralegal support on litigation matters including account identification, document gathering and claim investigation, research, case strategy and maintenance of certain legal databases and work closely with the various business departments in investigating and resolving matters.

What will you be doing?

• Assisting with distribution and tracking of supporting case documents to panel counsel
• Logging litigation and complaint matters and keying case data and updates into the department’s litigation management database, Salesforce
• Assisting with the litigation settlement payment process in Coupa, including verifying TIN’s, setting up new vendors, ordering settlement checks (back-up role)
• Participating in court hearings and arbitration, including travel
• Attending weekly panel counsel team meetings, take notes, create digital documents related to event, and assist with and track deliverables
• Assisting in production of reports and presentations
• Participating in legal training and compliance courses and adhere to recognized ethical standards and rules of professional responsibility
• Providing onsite support for service of legal documents

What we’re looking for:

• Proficient in Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel and comfortable using online tools
• Ability to work efficiently and accurately and remain calm under pressure
• Be proactive and able to take the initiative
• Able to take ownership of tasks and projects seeing them through to completion

Skills that will help you in the role:

• Knowledge of banking laws and regulations
• Systems access and/or familiarity with Coupa, Salesforce, TSYS, Verint, Broadridge, CCD, Metastor, ActiveStore and Intralinks
