We are currently seeking a Sr. Specialist, IT Infrastructure to support our pharmacy operation.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • In coordination with IT Infrastructure Manager assists in the planning, design, documentation, and implementation of various systems to include desktop PC’s, servers, network equipment, and software applications, like JD Edwards and pharmacy applications, used by home office and remote locations;
  • Manage and maintain network infrastructure; Develops, maintains, and monitors procedures for all server backups using Commvault Simpana;
  • Monitors, plans, and coordinates the distribution of client/server software and service packs;
  • Maintains enterprise Windows active directory;
  • Implements and supports patch management solutions and recommends security solutions;
  • Provides escalated 3rd Tier helpdesk support and remote desktop support; Includes virus and malware support;
  • Assist in the organization and inventory of all hardware and software resources;
  • Must be able to develop and execute project plans for enterprise infrastructure projects;
  • Provides backup support for the Microsoft Exchange email system;
  • Creates and maintains good technical documentation;
  • Maintain up-to-date expertise and working knowledge of a wide variety of commonly used hardware and software;
  • Perform or assist with any operations, as required to maintain workflow and to meet schedules and quality requirements; Notify supervisor of unusual equipment or operating problems and the recommend changes;
  • Participate in any variety of meetings and work groups to integrate activities and projects, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems and maintain specified level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, requirements, policies, and regulatory guidelines;
  • Rotational weekend 24 hours on call support as needed;
  • Performs other duties as assigned;

EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent training required in computer science related field;
  • Must be able to successfully pass company’s background check and pre-employment drug test;
  • Ability to operate a vehicle and maintain a valid driver’s license also required;
  • Microsoft MCITP or MCSE, Cisco CCNA or VMWare VCP-DCV certification desired;
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of systems/network experience required;
  • Experience with Linux server environment;
  • Solid working knowledge in the planning, design, integration, optimization, operations, security, and support of enterprise network infrastructures;
  • Advanced knowledge of IT infrastructure systems (Server OS, Desktop OS, Client Devices, Server devices, LAN/WAN technologies and Remote Access technologies); Knowledge of MPLS LAN/WAN configurations to include experience TCPIP, VPN, Internet firewalls, and wireless technology;
  • Experience with Layer 3 network architecture preferred;
  • Experience setting up and supporting database systems such as SQL Server 2008/2012 and MySQL preferred;
  • Knowledge of ITIL framework and standards required;
  • Ability to work under pressure and deliver projects within tight deadlines;
  • Strong customer service skills, a strong work ethic, and team oriented with the ability to work well independently;
  • Strong documentation and organization skills, excellent communication skills, and can demonstrate good problem solving skills;
