ABOUT THE ROLE
Our Senior Staff Accountant was promoted to Accounting Manager and we are seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to fill the vacancy. The Senior Staff Accountant's primary objectives are to support the accounting function through day-to-day GL activity, month-end close, and ad-hoc analyses and other projects. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys new challenges and wants to grow and develop in a fast growing and changing environment. We offer a fun and relaxed work environment while being disciplined to deliver. The position reports to the Accounting Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide monthly accounting closure procedures and deliverables, which includes journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts including cash, prepaids, fixed assets, other assets, accrued expenses, and others.
- Work closely with the Accounting Manager to evolve accounting processes and internal controls as the company grows.
- Assist with the annual financial audit.
- Handle ad-hoc projects as they develop.
- Other responsibilities and tasks as assigned by the company.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree (B.A.) with a minimum of three-years accounting experience.
- Ability to interpret and implement GAAP on a transaction-by-transaction basis.
- Ability to adapt to changing procedures, policies and work environment.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills, detail oriented, and able to multitask.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and willingness to work in a collaborative environment where everyone's input is valued.
- Proficient in Excel, Word, and Outlook. QuickBooks experience preferred.
