Sr Systems Administrator
Overview: GrowGeneration is one of the largest retailers of hydroponic products in the United States and is engaged in the business of marketing and distributing horticultural, organics, lighting, and hydroponics products, including lighting fixtures, nutrients, seeds and growing media, systems, trays, fans, filters, humidifiers and dehumidifiers, timers, instruments, water pumps, irrigation supplies and hand tools.
Position Reports To: Director of IT
Salary Range: $90K - $98K / DOE
Purpose of Position: Responsible for maintaining, updating, and the architecture of the systems within the company. The management, setup, deployment and maintenance of all workstations, desktops, laptops, and servers within the company adding efficiencies for software deployment, updates, application management, disaster recovery and local system security. Responsible for setting system standards and documenting all efforts.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Systems setup and rebuilds
- OS and applications updates
- Antivirus and end point protection installation and maintenance
- Hardware assessment and procurement
- Manage system security and compliance related tasks. Versed in SOX and PCI compliance
- Application deployment
- System backup, failover, recovery, and testing
- System logging and monitoring
- Local system administration and security
- Domain policy creation and implementation
- Monitor performance of servers, software, and hardware.
- Create and update technical documentation
- Handle Tier II & Tier III Support issues
- After hour and weekend work may be required
- Manage systems administration team members
- Additional responsibilities as defined by supervisor
Requirements:
- Experience rebuilding and deploying new operating systems
- Advanced experience in a Windows domain environment
- Experience with remote desktop management
- Advanced experience with Active Directory
- Good knowledge of at least one scripting language
- Experience with cloning technologies
- Experience in a LAN/WAN environment
- Experience in Microsoft licensing requirements
- Experience in virtual compute environments (VMWare)
- Experience troubleshooting hardware and software issues
- Ability to travel approximately 10%
- High level of detail and accuracy
Skills
- Basic networking skills are a plus
- Experience in Retail Industry
- Experience with Office 365
- Customer service experience
