We are adding a STAFF ACCOUNTANT to our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for timely and accurate preparation of financial accounting data in a variety of areas. It is essential that this candidate brings analytical and organizational skills in order to best support the accounting team.

Principal Duties

• Bookkeeping at various levels – all the way from full service accounting for ongoing clients to after the fact (input from last year’s bank statements)
• Payroll processing for a variety of clients in various industries and in multiple states
• Work closely with the clients to understand and ensure accuracy of all financial reporting activity
• Assist in preparation and distribution of financial statements including quarterly/annual payroll tax reports
• Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules according to monthly close schedule

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent in Accounting, Economics, or Finance
• 1 - 2 years' experience in public accounting
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Proficient in QuickBooks desktop and QuickBooks online
