Title: Staff Accountant (Temp to Perm)
Reports to: Accounting Manager
Hybrid Role: 2 days in the office (Tuesday & Thursday) the other days you can work from home.
Job Responsibilities
- Execute the monthly financial close process, creating and inputting post-closing journal entries, investigating and resolving incorrect entries created through the journal entry process, or the batch posting of billing and accounts payable information.
- Reconcile all balance sheet accounts.
- Maintain the general ledger software and chart of accounts.
- Assist with Internal/External Audits
- Participate in the implementation of Salesforce Finance Module for the company.
- Participate in the preparation of annual audited GAAP financial statements for the Company.
- Participate in the cleaning of the books for the new implementation of the software.
- Maintain the fixed assets systems.
- Assist with AP & AR procedures.
- Ad-hoc Responsibilities
Skillset/ Background Needed
- Expertise in accounting and financial processes
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of financial statements and month-end closing processes
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong background in Great Plains and MS Office Suite
- Good knowledge of Excel and formulas
- Attention to detail.
- Able to multi-task
