Responsibilities
Receives supplies and enters receipt details into computer. Label supplies. Stores supplies in assigned places, which may include high shelves. Facing shelves and rotate stock by checking expiration dates. Filing. Distributes supplies throughout Harnett Health System facilities using carts and dollies. Maintains and controls inventory, advising staff when requests will be filled. Maintains a clean and organized supply area in compliance with Joint Commission standards. Assist in revenue cycle by completing patient issue routine in MM module. Taking direction from Lead Purchasing Specialist on day to day basis with other duties assigned.
Any other duties as assigned.
Education Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent. Formal training in inventory or accounting methods preferred. Possess valid North Carolina drivers license and clear Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) to operate motorized vehicle.
Minimum Experience, Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Requirements
Ability to perform clerical recordkeeping functions. Working in a medical facility preferred. Handles moderately complex to complex problems. Good knowledge of medical supplies terminology. Proficient in performing basic arithmetic functions. Good skills in using communication, computers and data entry systems. Good skills in performing clerical recordkeeping functions. Good analytical and problem-solving skills. Lift 40 lbs and able to operate a pallet jack.
